Man on Porch: Why don't you kiss her instead of talking her to death?
George Bailey: You want me to kiss her, huh?
Man on Porch: Ah, youth is wasted on the wrong people.

this was a fun site

Your past life diagnosis:

I don't know how you feel about it, but you were female in your last earthly incarnation. You were born somewhere in the territory of modern Mexico around the year 1050. Your profession was that of a medic, surgeon or herbalist.

Your brief psychological profile in your past life:
You had the mind of a scientist, always seeking new explanations. Your environment often misunderstood you, but respected your knowledge.

The lesson that your last past life brought to your present incarnation:
Magic is everywhere around you, even in the most usual, most ordinary situations. Your lesson is to understand this magic and to help other people to see it, too. You are a magician!

Do you remember now?

my brother got baptized today. it was a heartwarming experience. baptism get more an more wonderful every time i have the opportunity to go. somewhere i hear that the most spiritual experiences we can have are at baptism and funerals. but i may be making that up.
I love that's he's growing up, but he'll aways be the baby to me

i hope you all know about this special little website. it helps the lazy take care of their elders. you know all those addresses on facebook of missionaries you should write but you just don't have time? well if you have time to be on facebook then you have time to send them one of these. it's free and takes two seconds promise. but it's only for mtc-ers. so you're out of luck if they are already in the field.

and while we're on the subject missionaries, 1/8 of the way there

rant

i HATE stupid edited photos. you know the kind of people, the ones that can't post a thing on facebook with out making it orange so they look tan, or making it fuzzy like an old time movie. or my favorite, the crazy high contrast. ah i can't take it any more!!! is that what life really looks like from your eyes? or do you have such not good self esteem you have to fix every thing about yourself  before everyone else sees a fun snap-shot of your saturday night? i understand that some pictures are very unflattering, and may justify a little work. or maybe you are an artist and like to tweak reality. but really. stop the terrible editing! please!
aww how cute

Where the Hell is Matt? (2008)

i want to do this. except he already did it so that's not too original. i'll have to find my own silly thing to do across the world. and a billion dollars to get me there AND into space. except he already did that too. i'll find something though. ps. ever get so distracted with fb that you forget to shower? that's my roommate right now. haha lay z. but we all love kmonster. plus i made muffins, who could tear away from those?

mannhiem steamroller does it best

we set up  our tree!! lights and music i've been craving for weeks. i really want it to snow tomorrow. but if it does i'll cry. it will mark the passing of a season, putting me farther and farther away from him. but at least it's christmas that's coming. my favorite. but also comes my birthday. that's another step away. it's a love/hate thing. but there's no reason hating anything. it just makes you hurt and the day's drag. sooooo i'll make it a love thing.
 happy christmas harry.

multiple applications

Consonance, says the dictionary, is the combination of several tones into a harmonic unit. Dissonance results from the deranging of this harmony by the addition of tones foreign to it. One must admit that all this is not clear. Ever since it appeared in our vocabulary, the word 'dissonance' has carried with it a certain odor of sinfulness. Let us light our lantern: in textbook language, dissonance is an element of transition, a complex or interval of tones that is not complete in itself and that must be resolved to the ear's satisfaction into a perfect consonance.

Let it be documented, the first snow of winter, 2010, was some flurries on Oct. 25, and some of it stuck!! It looked weird silhouetted against the still green trees.  and all i could think about, besides having to walk to school in the dark in negative 90 degree weather while snow sticks to my frozen hair, was SKIING! yesh :)

NEW PHONE :)

but nothing been as sure as

morning, inevitable.

i'm still yours and that's all

deaf blind mute so broken, scarred forgotten

but still yours and that's all

you remind me what can be, light up my memory

i'm still yours and that's all

i'll ever need

you would hate to see me like this

and i would be so ashamed

so hard so hard but foolish

to ever feel alone

another part completes me

my stronger side

the world away but space is nothing compared

to what we are

this is what we studied in class today. well actually it was briefly mentioned, and i spent the rest of class reading this...

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Mary Toft (née Denyer; c. 1701–1763), also spelled Tofts, was an English woman from GodalmingSurrey, who in 1726 became the subject of considerable controversy when she tricked doctors into believing that she had given birth to rabbits.

can you say guilty pleasure??

best.show.ever.
the only tv i really follow is this and the airbender series. i even got nate to watch it with me last year.  there is absolutely nothing real life about it. and they all date each other; most are slightly related. i guess i just secretly crave the high, scandalous life. who doesn't?
watch it, i dare you

it has always seemed strange to me... the things we admire in men, kindness and generosity, openness, honesty, understanding and feeling, are the concomitants of failure in our system. And those traits we detest, sharpness, greed, acquisitiveness, meanness, egotism and self-interest, are the traits of success. and while men admire the quality of the first they love the produce of the second.

There was an orange moon tonight, did you see it?

did you know we live by a river? it's hidden by stores and roads and stuff, but sometimes you can find it. it's at it's best up the canyon. i went running up the trail to enjoy this perfect weather weeve beeeen 'aving. it's one of the few places i can run ipod-less. there are much better things to listen to. and then i waded through the bridal veil pool with my shoos on. people thought i was dumb.
and then as i was stretching, these two cute kids who were obviously in love but maybe didn't know it yet, came riding up on there bikes arguing about something. then the girl slipped her shoes off and starting hiking up the water fall. they guy sheepishly followed. made me smile :) i've done that before, but it's probably a lot more fun when you're with your boy. i'll have to do that sometime. in the mean time i'm just gonna go jogging on the hidden trails and tunnels that follow the river.
until it snows

LITERAL

"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on: you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently he starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of--throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself."

most horrid decor

as i know have a full apartment to decorate, and roomates whose style i greatly disagree with, i've given a lot of thought to the ugliest decoration trends i've ever encountered
i don't understand why anyone would want animal  remains laying around. and taxidermy? no thanks

these apparently had quite the social impact in the 50's. but i've hated them ever since i had to write an essay about them for my ap language test in jr year.

unless you live in the ocean, i don't understand why you'd want everything fringed with old sea critters homes.

really, why? did a cow boy die and they drew the outline. then filled it in and kept it forever as a commemoration?

any of those small animal or people figurines. especially bedazzeled and glittered ones. they're a little creepy and just tacky.

but of course i'll probably change my mind and fall in love with all of these by the time i'm a home owner. those flamingos are already looking pretty cute

These are made on a daily basis. K monster has the recipe memorized. Our apartment is a little old, but it suits me fine. our room is cute and roommates are sweeter than even cookie bars. school starts tomorrow. That means summer dies. But that means one step closer to christmas i guess. time sails on windy seas. swiftly. so come stop by and share some daily desert.

and why can't white be my favorite color.

not like white skin. or that off brand white you see everywhere. But the blissful, blinding white. it's the perfect contrast. the perfect focal point. and you can't make white from other colors. it's just pure and clean. the world would be nothing without the specturm, but white is the pinnacle. plus it make you look tanner. :)
so yes, white is my favorite
